35 Pacers to remain service beyond the end of the year. In addition to all the 144s remaining, 12 x 142s to remain in service on Manchester area routes.

Do we know when other Pacers will be taken out of service? Currently only 4 are in Reserve and 2 Withdrawn

9 Class 195s are due into service on Monday so this probably puts 2 and 2 together.

At the 13th September GMCA meeting Northern were assuring them that all Pacers would be gone by the end of December, but there is no rail service report amongst the October meeting papers.
