(27/11/2019 20:29)The Falcon Wrote:  With the launch of ArrivaClick in Watford in March there will be some vehicle movements with 4 of Kent’s buses coming to Liverpool and 4 of Liverpool’s going to Watford. In additional possible the 2 buses in Liverpool on loan from Leicester will be transferred too as the Watford contract specified low floor.

When I know which vehicles and from which depot I will update.

Update on the above:

5 buses are being transferred to Watford on 1st February. There will be no ex Kent buses coming to replace them at the moment due to the lack of assault screens. This will see a temporary reduction in the overall fleet in Liverpool, this tied in with the number of vacancies at present as the buses are technically spare until all vacancies are filled.

The actual reduction is 3 buses as the 2 loaned buses from Leicester are included.

Speke 1015, 1016 and loaned 7929 will transfer
Green Lane loaned 7930 will transfer
Birkenehad 1017 will transfer.

There may also be a movement of some buses between Liverpool depots to rebalance the numbers.

ArrivaClick will commence operation of the 201 service on Saturday (Speke Morrisons to Royal Hospital).

Drivers were being route trained today. Click buses used for the service are being fitted with ticket machines. 1039 currently completed with another 2 to follow as back up. Service will be operated by Click drivers from Green Lane depot. Unlike the Speke zone (former 211 service) this will be run as per the existing service on a Merseytravel tender.

1036, 1038 and 1039 are now fitted with ticket machines. Assault screens have been changed to accommodate the ticket machines and all ready for service.

Whilst only 1 is needed to cover the service this enables spares to be used as required.

Service starts at 1300 Speke Morrisons on Saturday 25/1

All 3 buses were used at various points on the 201 today to aid driver familiarisation.

Also Runcorn have borrowed ArrivaClick 1022 and 1023 from Speke for the 200 until suitable buses arrive from Southern Counties mid week.

Just received an E-mail to say that Arriva Click won’t be returning to Liverpool with the exception of the 211 Speke Circular due to being unsustainable

Click will never work in any area and the reason is Arriva want a real return so would want easy £40ph if there was money in taxi sharing local taxi firms would do it as they would be happy with just £15ph
